Grove: Supporting Local Schools Through Everyday Services

Grove is a community platform created and operated by Tektono. It connects homeowners with reliable local service businesses—such as painters, plumbers, and electricians—who donate $100 directly to local public schools for every completed job.

Local Services for Local Schools

Helping homeowners hire local businesses that give back to neighborhood schools.

When homeowners find and hire a participating contractor on Grove, the business pledges to donate $100 to the homeowner's chosen local school parent-teacher organization (PTO). Tektono provides the website and tracking system that makes sure every donation is verified.

How Grove Works
1. Homeowner Hires a Local Business
The homeowner chooses a participating painter, plumber, or electrician pledged to support their school.
2. Business Sends $100 to the School
After the job is finished, the business writes a check or sends payment directly to the school PTO.
3. School Treasurer Confirms Receipt
The school confirms the payment, and Grove marks the job complete on the site.
Tektono never touches or holds donation money. Donations go straight from business to school.

Direct Payments to Schools

All donations are paid directly from the business to the school's official parent-teacher organization (PTO). Tektono never holds donation money and takes zero fee from school contributions.

Verified Completion

Every job is checked with both the homeowner and the business, and every donation is confirmed with the school treasurer so parents and neighbors know the pledge was honored.

San Mateo Community Pilot

Grove is currently active across 28 public schools in San Mateo County, connecting families at elementary, middle, and high schools with quality local businesses.
